All Black Outfit for New York
My first NYFW was a huge hit! If you would have told me a year ago I was going to be attending New York Fashion Week, I wouldn't have believed you. It was absolutely a dream come true. Since recently deciding to add more fashion content to my blog, NYFW gave me a lot of inspiration. I got to experience so many fun parties, fashion shows, and meet tons of remarkable ladies. We stayed at the Hotel Indigo in the Lower East Side. It was such a nice area. There were tons of cute restaurants walking distance from the hotel, pretty boutiques, and most importantly - it was close to a ton of our events. In New York, I quickly realized that going "down the road" two miles can take up to 30 minutes. I was laughing at the itinerary I created because I put all of these small windows of time in between events and wrote "possible tourist attraction?" thinking we would have all of the time and energy in the world to attend all of our events AND squeeze in tons of tourist time. Boy, was I wrong. By the time we finally got back to our hotel, all we wanted to do was lay down and relax before our next event. When I was planning my wardrobe for the trip, I wanted to include a lot of fun fall items that were ultra trendy and also comfortable. Although cliche, I wanted at least one all-black outfit to wear while in the Big Apple. This ended up being one of my favorite outfits on the trip! We kept hearing how hot it was going to be, but with the tropical storm that was approaching, the weather cooled down to around the 60s! This was one of the warmest outfits I packed and ended up being a life saver.I have always loved all black outfits. Call it my obsession with the Olsen twins or laziness, but there is something so chic about wearing all black. I also love wearing it because it makes getting dressed easy and mixing and matching summer styles with fall. One trend I have been loving (and also kept my feet nice and high off the dirty NY streets) is the platform heel trend. I grabbed these a year ago at Forever21, but have since found some new heels (linked below) that are great! I'm only 5'4", so walking around fashion events with gorgeous women towering over me felt a little intimidating without these shoes! How will you be mixing black this fall?[show_shopthepost_widget id="3278663"]
