Chic on a Budget | Pink & Pearls
I'm starting a few new weekly features on the blog and the first one is Chic on a Budget. I'll be sharing my chic and inexpensive finds to make you look like a million bucks. I also have a section on my website now where I'll be sharing my chic finds for under $100.
Today I went to Target - to get groceries and also because it's the only place I can physically shop right now thanks to COVID-19. I went in for protein shakes and came out with a painting, a notebook, a purse, earrings, and pearl barrettes....I know, I know, I'm a walking cliche. I was really impressed with some of the new accessories Target recently put on the shelves. I am loving the pearl trend happening right now and Target has really hopped on the bandwagon. There was a section filled with pearl items that all looked high-end, so of course I had to bring a few home.
As for the pink items I picked up, I have been looking for a good notebook. I recently watched Sarah Blakely's masterclass and I was so impressed by her story. One of the things she talked about in her class was how she asked the universe for an idea and she would carry around a notebook and write down her ideas in it. She encourages everyone to do this. So when a female self-made billionaire tells you to buy a notebook and ask the universe for ideas, you do it. I wanted something pretty with a good message on the cover and stumbled upon this cutie (which reminds me a lot of the Kate Spade ones!).
The last item I picked up is this darling little bag. I am heading to my parent's house at the beach soon and have been looking for some fun items to wear while I'm there. I am all about raffia and wicker bags right now, and I was impressed by the quality of the handle and the bag itself. I'll probably cut off the little flowers on the front, (because I think it makes the bag look a tad adolescent) and then it will look great! It reminds me of some designer raffia bags I've been seeing recently...and for $34 it's a steal.
