Al Fresco Festive Thanksgiving Dinner Table
I live for an Al Fresco dinner. Georgia’s fall weather is perfect for enjoying time outside. With COVID19 affecting our holiday season, dining outdoors is a great way to make family feel comfortable and safe. Al fresco dining offers your guests a new experience while still providing the intimate gathering everyone can look forward to.
For my table, I wanted to keep things moderately neutral and add in pops of color through my floral arrangements. My flower color palette included rich browns, orange, white, and green. I made these arrangements for $40 using flowers from Trader Joe’s. For a finishing touch, I added some pumpkins and pine cones.
Who doesn’t love a candlelit dinner? Candles give off a cozy and warm fall feeling to the whole table. I used this lovely sugar mold with glass tealight holders to make the entire table glow.
My favorite idea this holiday season is this gourdgeous display for your wine bucket. I grabbed these mini gourds for under a dollar each and topped them over ice for the dinner table. You could also use pinecones from your yard!
Louis Bouillot is one of my favorite french bruts. It's very elegant and a great price point for hosting a party.
I've owned these fabulous plates for years. They are hand painted with lace. I love using brown and warm tones for Thanksgiving and thought they add a touch of woodland elegance to the table.
I wanted to brighten up the table a touch, so I used these gorgeous mini copper pots. They are a cute accent and very functional for a chilly evening. I love to serve a warm soup when dining outside, so these pots can go from stovetop to tabletop.
A table is never set without a delicious drink. I made mulled apple cider and added bourbon for an easy hot toddy. For garnish, I served them with sticks of cinnamon. They are such a perfect fall cocktail for Thanksgiving dinner, and did I mention they are delicious?
I am so happy with how my table turned out and can’t wait for my guests to enjoy it as well. I hope this inspires some of you to try something new this year and create your own Al fresco dinner table this holiday season!
