Reviving Our Garden
The once-vibrant foliage in the front two beds had withered away, leaving a barren and lifeless landscape. Determined to bring new life and charm to our outdoor space, we embarked on a garden update that would breathe new energy into our surroundings.
Out With the Old
The first step in our garden revival project was to bid farewell to the dying shrubbery that dominated the landscape. With care and determination, we pulled up the lifeless remnants, making room for a fresh start. As we dug into the soil, we felt a sense of anticipation, knowing that soon our garden would be adorned with vibrant colors and fragrant blooms.
Blooms for all Seasons
To infuse our garden with a touch of elegance, we planted Limelight hydrangeas. These stunning shrubs, with their large, showy flowers, have quickly become the stars of our landscape. Their creamy white blossoms add a sense of sophistication, creating a beautiful contrast against the lush green backdrop. We can't wait for these hydrangeas to flourish and fill our garden with their timeless beauty.
In addition to the hydrangeas, we introduced an array of other enchanting plants for pollinators. Salvia, with its vibrant purple blooms, adds a pop of color and attracts bees to our garden. The spiral Thuja topiary serves as a striking focal point, lending a touch of whimsy to the landscape. Foxgloves, with their tall spires of delicate flowers, bring an air of romance and charm. And of course, we couldn't resist planting fresh herbs such as basil and rosemary, not only for their culinary uses but also for the aromatic pleasure they bring to our garden.
Adding a touch of aromatic beauty, we decided to train jasmine vines to climb trellises along the columns of our front porch. In time, these fragrant blossoms will create a captivating display, enveloping our entrance in their sweet aroma. We can already envision the delightful evenings spent on our porch, serenaded by the gentle hum of bees and the intoxicating scent of jasmine.
Bird’s Song
To invite the lively presence of birds into our garden, we hung bird feeders from an iron holder nearby a tree. The cheerful chirping and fluttering of wings have become a daily delight, reminding us of the magic of nature.
As we look at our newly revitalized front garden, we can't help but feel a sense of joy and accomplishment. The once-dying landscape has been transformed into a vibrant haven brimming with life and beauty. Each day, we eagerly watch as our garden flourishes, welcoming us with its ever-changing tapestry of colors and scents.
