Halloween Costumes

Halloween doesn't have to be scary. For me, the holiday is all about dressing up and having fun. I absolutely love dressing up for holidays! Call it my days from high school and college dress up days/parties, but I live for reasons to wear a costume. Last year, my husband and I went as Bob Ross and his "happy little tree" (to see our costume click happy little tree and scroll to the bottom of the page). It was hilarious and everyone at the costume party we attended loved it! This year, I wanted to go for something more simple and comfortable, so I decided on Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's.

This costume idea is so simple! I ordered a mask from Etsy, grabbed some tassel earrings from Target, and then paired my favorite slippers from Birdie's with one of my husband's business shirts.

For Halloween, we usually stay at home and pass out candy to the Trick or Treaters, but in the last few years, out friends have started hosting parties. I planned an elegant Halloween soiree on the blog last year, and would love to host again soon! One of my favorite Halloweens as a married couple was when we bought tickets to Phantom of the Opera at the Fox Theatre! It was such a fun way to celebrate Halloween!!
Here is another fun and chic costume idea for you to try this Halloween!
