The Best Build Your Own Thanksgiving Bloody Mary Bar

Ice Bucket / Low Ball Glasses / Serving Bowl / Crystal Decanter / Vase / Hardware on Chest / Cocktail Picks / Julep Cup

When it comes to Sunday brunch, I consider myself an expert. After all, a warm breakfast, mimosas and bloody mary's, and catching up with my friends and family are a few of my favorite things. With Thanksgiving and Christmas on the horizon, prepping for a fabulous brunch with a build-your-own bloody bar only seems natural.

The Presentation

Keep it simple and chic with a gorgeous floral arrangement and just enough toppings to make a great drink.

Ice Bucket

If you're a southern gal or guy, you know southern style is all about silver. I used these lovely silver and pewter pieces to give my bar a southern flair. In addition, don't be afraid to use pieces you already have on hand, like these crystal low ball glasses.

For presentation and functionality, I crushed iced using my blender and popped a few shrimp on top. The key to a good presentation is visibility. Make sure to keep things simple and include just enough options - too many and the bar might come off a tad overwhelming.

The Mixins

Let's be honest - your bloody mary bar is only as good as your mix and vodka. I picked up this all-natural mix from Charleston Mix and it's become a favorite in our household.

The Toppings

When it comes to building a Bloody Mary bar, go with finger foods. Stock your bar with things like gherkin pickles, shrimp, lemons and limes, olives, peppers, bacon or charcuterie meat. You could even add a small plate coated with a salty mix for the rim of the drink or pre-salt the glass rims yourself.

To keep too many fingers from touching the fixin's use some cute cocktail picks.

How good does this bloody look? Is your mouth watering yet?
