Grand Millenial Dinner Party

A large arrangement of fresh florals, blue and white, AND chinoiserie? What could be more Grand Millennial than that? If you’re looking for inspiration for an outdoor garden party, you've come to the right place!!

For this beautiful table, I started with this tablecloth that has a summery, casual feel. I have loved the look of hand-blocked fabrics for years and I am so happy to see they are becoming more accessible! To help protect the tablecloth and add a little pizzazz, I layered in these hyacinth placemats. I love incorporating natural elements in my design to add softness - they also are typically a breeze to clean!

Aerin is always inspiring me and producing gorgeous items for Williams Sonoma, like these plates and bowls. I love having an ice bucket outside when entertaining to keep drinks cold without having to go in and out of the house (letting all of those bugs in!).

I think the most striking part of this tablescape is the large ginger jars. I picked these up at a local shop, but I found some similar ones here and here. I went to Trader Joe’s and purchased every lily they had. I waited about a week for them to all bloom in time for my dinner party. If you leave them in the sun, it helps encourage blooming. The smell is so fragrant and made it truly feel like a garden party.

To finish the table, I added these fabulous floral etched glasses from Williams Sonoma. They come in a variety of colors and shapes, so they’re a wonderful collector's item to have for years! I think they are perfectly dainty and add a little whimsy to the table.

To match the decor, I decided to go with this dress and pair it with this lovely ring from Haverhill. I recently discovered this company and I love their pieces. To receive a discount use the code LHOC15 for 15% off.
